Why I'm running
I’m intending to seek a nomination to run for Council with OneCity because I believe Vancouver needs bold, progressive policy that tackles the crises facing our city by making housing more affordable, building sustainable and connected communities, and delivering the services and amenities that make Vancouver a vibrant and equitable home.
I’m tired of seeing an ABC-majority consistently vote down social and non-market housing options, roll back progress on climate action and active transportation, and fail to adequately fund the services and municipal workers who keep our city running.
I want to run with OneCity to help restore integrity and transparency to City Hall, address the housing crisis with the urgency it demands, and advance people-first policies that work for all Vancouverites — not just a few.

Vancouver should be a city everyone can call home.

I want our city to build neighbourhoods that everyone can live in
I live in Strathcona. A neighbourhood that is home to a range of co-ops, seniors housing, cultural community housing, supportive housing and market and non-market homes. We have multiplexes, 6 storey walk ups, towers, and corner stores. Within walking distance is a school with an integrated community centre, several parks, and bike routes.
To me, Strathcona offers a vibrant vision of what a diverse and welcoming neighbourhood can look like in our city. Although there’s room for improvement in every neighbourhood, Strathcona offers a snapshot of the benefits that can come, and the community that can be built when we increase density and non-market housing in a thoughtful and sustainable way. We can have a thriving, inclusive and sustainable city with a council that isn’t afraid of ensuring that all neighbourhoods are open to everyone.
I am a values-driven relationship builder who can get things done

To respond to the crises facing our city, we need people on Council who can build relationships across stakeholders and governments without wavering on their values. I am a lawyer that works for Indigenous governments. I have experience lobbying multiple levels of governments for policy change, negotiating with governments, and supporting First Nation councils structure decision-making and election processes that build community trust. This work has taught me to be creative to find common ground, to engage directly with community members to deliver inclusive and successful policies, and, at the end of the day, to value having principled decision makers in government.
I will always stay true to my values. For nearly 20 years, I have advocated for climate action and environmental protection. I continue to volunteer to support environmental initiatives including as a board member of the Wilderness Committee, an environmental non-profit that works to fight climate change, defend wildlife, and protect nature while partnering with Indigenous Nations and respecting Indigenous governance rights. I’m an avid cyclist - whether commuting by Mobi or training for a triathlon - and I will always prioritize building safe active transportation and public transit in Vancouver as an essential part of a healthy liveable community.
At my core, I understand that community needs, health and long-term interests must always come first. We all lose when governments listen to fear rather than evidence, and money rather than people.

I believe in OneCity
I hope to run with OneCity because it is the municipal party with a consistent progressive, sustainable, pro-housing vision for the city. I have volunteered with OneCity for over 4 years, including currently as a member of the OneCity Engagement Committee where I help organize neighbourhood events and work with other committee members to build points of connection. In 2022, I ran for Park Board as part of OneCity’s slate advocating for a city that meaningfully invests in its parks and recreation services, supports connected active transit routes, and works with our Host Nations to make better decisions for our public spaces. I know how much work has gone into building OneCity as the municipal party that can bring progressive voices to Council, School Board and Park Board in 2026. I hope you will support me as a prospective OneCity candidate.
